Overview

Partnering with the Insurance Council of Australia, we created a powerful testimonial video that shed light on the aftermath of the devastating floods that struck the East Coast in 2022. Our mission was twofold: to sensitively document the experiences of flood victims and to showcase the dedication and efforts of the ICA in supporting those affected by the disaster. With empathy and professionalism at the forefront, we embarked on a journey to capture the resilience and determination of the Lismore community.

Approach

Given the sensitive nature of the subject matter, our approach was guided by a deep sense of empathy and professionalism. We understood the importance of approaching flood victims with sensitivity and respect, considering the trauma they had recently endured. Our team took great care to create a safe and supportive environment during the interviews, allowing victims to share their stories authentically.

In addition to interviewing flood victims, we also spoke with staff from the ICA, including their CEO, and the Mayor of Gympie. These interviews provided valuable insights into the work being done behind the scenes to support flood-affected communities and rebuild trust in the insurance industry.

In addition to the interviews, we also captured drone footage of the flood-affected areas, providing viewers with a bird’s-eye view of the widespread devastation. This footage served as a powerful visual representation of the scale of the disaster and underscored the importance of the ICA’s work in supporting affected communities.

Results

The testimonial video created for the Insurance Council of Australia was met with widespread acclaim. Viewers were deeply moved by the personal stories of resilience and hope shared by flood victims, as well as inspired by the dedication and compassion demonstrated by the ICA and its staff. The video served as a powerful tool for promoting the ICA’s commitment to supporting disaster-affected communities and rebuilding trust in the insurance industry.
