We recently shot for a company called Pure Locations they’re Australia’s leading location agency, providing the creative industry with access to incredible architecture and authentic spaces.
We were blessed to shoot the Pure Locations team in an incredible home here on the Sunshine Coast.

And it got us thinking. Just how much time do you spend on finding the right location for your shoot?
A lot or is it an after thought?
We all know how important a beautiful location is so I’d advise you to set aside ample time to figure out where you want to capture your content. It may be in your boardroom office, or your home kitchen or you can hire other locations through businesses like Pure Locations!
Of Course you can always ask me for advice too!
The three keys 🔑 to a great location are;
- Space – is there enough space to move around in the location and fit yourself and the camera crew that you’re working with?
- Natural Lighting – does your location get lots of natural light filtering in from windows or doors?
- Versatile – are there different spots within the location that you can shoot in to mix up the content you capture?
If you can tick off those three things, you’re onto a winning location to create content!
