Recently we have been producing a lot more vertical videos for our clients compared to the traditional horizontal videos (see below) and we wanted to help explain why that may be the case.
After some research we found an article that detailed some key reasons it may have become a trend, especially for our clients who post a lot via social media, and thought that we would share two of the key points here with you;
- Three out of four online videos are watched on mobile these days – and mobile devices are designed for vertical videos
- People hold their phones vertically 94% of the time – unless we are watching a series on Netflix or Stan, people are turning their phones horizontally less
While horizontal video definitely still has its place in regards to content creation, nowadays we think you have to put a little bit more thought into where the content is going to be seen and adapt to that.
